What personal data we collect

We collect personal data when you interact with us directly, including:

• Quote and contact form submissions: full name, email address, phone number, property address or location, property type, project description, budget range and preferred start date.
• Uploaded files: photos of your property, architect drawings or floor plans, and inspiration images you choose to attach to a quote request.
• Direct communications: anything you tell us by phone, email, WhatsApp or social media messaging.
• Job applications: if you apply for a role via our careers page, the details and any CV or documents you submit.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website, so we do not collect browsing data about you through tracking technologies. If that changes (for example, if we add website analytics in future), we will update this policy and add a cookie banner where required.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or estimate
• Arrange and carry out site visits and surveys
• Deliver, manage and invoice a project once you instruct us
• Keep records required for Building Regulations, insurance or health and safety compliance
• Answer job applications and manage recruitment
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not use your data for marketing unless you have separately agreed to that, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.

Our legal basis for processing

Depending on the situation, we rely on one of the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract / pre-contract steps — to respond to your quote request and, if you go ahead, to deliver the agreed work.
• Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business, for example keeping records of enquiries and quotes.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep records for tax, insurance or building control purposes.
• Consent — for anything else where we ask for it directly, such as marketing communications.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of third party, where necessary:

• Formspree — the form-processing service that delivers quote request submissions (including any attached photos or plans) to our team by email. Formspree may process and store this data outside the UK; see their own privacy policy for details.
• WhatsApp (Meta)— if you choose to message us via the WhatsApp link on this site, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
• Google Maps— our contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set its own cookies or collect data when that map loads; see Google’s privacy policy for details.
• Subcontractors and trade partners— where necessary to deliver a project you’ve instructed us on, limited to what they need to do the work.
• Professional advisers and authorities — such as our accountant, insurer, or building control, where legally required.

Where any of these recipients are based outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards each provider offers (such as standard contractual clauses) to keep your data protected.

How long we keep your data

We keep quote requests and enquiries for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and for a limited period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Where we carry out work for you, we keep contract, financial and building-compliance records for as long as required by law (typically at least 6 years for tax and contract records). Unsuccessful job applications are deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep them on file for longer.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Ask us to delete your data, where we’re not required to keep it
• Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing

Keeping your data secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including restricting who can access enquiry and project records. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take steps to keep risk as low as reasonably possible.

Children

Our services are aimed at adults arranging building work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using new tools or services. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
